Frameishly - Frequently Asked Questions
If you are new to us, or just wanted to refresh your information, these FAQ should help:
What wood are the frames made of?
Our frames are made from obeche wood, from sustainable sources and reforestation projects. Other ecological considerations include the use of water based paints and varnishes.
What paper do you use?
We print on a beautiful smooth 230 gsm matt paper.
Are fixings included?
With each frame we include a fixings pack that consists of 2 x screws, 2 x D rings and a length of hanging cord. Frame stands for A5 and A4 are available at an additional cost.
What kid of artwork file do you need?
For prints, the artwork needs to be a PDF, and if you are having foil then anything foiled needs to be in solid black in a separate file to any background colour you are having printed. It's best to talk it through with us first if you want foil because there are some minor limitations to the process. Also be aware the lip of the frame or mount will cover about 5mm all the way around the print so you might want to slightly re-size some things if they go right to the edge.
Art for tote bags and mugs needs to be jpgs. The print area on a tote is A4, and can be landscape or portrait. The mug template is a little more complicated. We’ll help you out with all that when we get started!
What branding will be included?
We do not include any Bookishly/Frameishly paperwork in with the parcel. If you have supplied a dispatch note with the order that will be included. We are happy to also add in any marketing flyers/stickers you provide us with. The postal label attached to the parcel will have our address on it so that any returns will come to us. Our logo is on there too but in our experience customers never even notice this!
Can you make me a custom sized frame?
Probably yes! Drop us an email on email@example.com and we’ll figure out what we can do for you.
Unframed - we use Royal Mail First Class for UK shipping and Royal Mail International for overseas. They are not tracked services although we find them very reliable. If there are ever any issues (this is VERY rare!) we will replace your customer's print.
Framed - UK orders are sent with DHL and a tracking number will be added to your shipment confirmation and sent to you and not your customer. Overseas orders are shipped with Royal Mail International which is not a tracked service.
Bookishly is listed as the return address on all shipments so if any orders are returned to us we will contact you ASAP. If any parcel is lost in the post or arrives damaged/broken please let us know and we will put that right for you.
These should help with any queries you have but please contact us on firstname.lastname@example.org if your question is not answered here.
