We have some exciting news! The Bookishly team are moving to a four day week from April. We're teaming up with 4 Day Week Global to take part in their trial, supported by researchers at some top international universities. I'm really optimistic that it's going to be great for the business.
We're aiming for the 100:80:100 model, where employees get 100% of the pay for 80% of the time but 100% of the productivity. We've done a lot of planning in the run up to the trial and we have some great strategies for achieving this.
So from w/c April 4th 2022 onwards we will be completely closed on Wednesdays. This should only have a minor impact on our customers.
For Bookishly and Frameishly bulk orders - our current lead times allow enough time for us to still get our orders out within the expected time.
For Frameishly print-frame-ship customers, you’ll be aware that we usually achieve next-day dispatch but have always asked for a couple of days extra just in case. That will come into play on Wednesdays now, as orders placed later on Tuesdays onwards won’t get dispatched until Thursday.
Any customer enquiries that come through on a Wednesday will get looked at first thing on Thursday. We chose Wednesday so we still have plenty of time to address anything that needs sorting out before the weekend.
If you have any questions about it all please do let us know - hello@bookish.ly.
There's a bit more detail over on our main website's blog too.
